During Mark Zuckerberg’s days-long testimony at Meta’s antitrust trial, he argued that social media doesn’t exist the way it did in the early 2010s—platforms have become less social and more like regular media.

Okay so if they're like regular media, his argument that they shouldn't be held accountable for the content produced on their platforms is no longer valid, right? Or let me guess, his lawyers will attempt some semantic argument to the effect that he gets to "have his cake and eat it too."
Actually platforms like facebook, instagram, x and tiktok 'MANDATE' "ANTI"SOCIALITY while being supposedly sites 'TO SOCIALIZE & MAKE FRIENDS' via stupid new mandates like getting 'NO DIRECT MESSAGES FROM UNFOLLOWERS' DESPITE THERE "ALREADY IS" A BLOCK OPTION FOR ACOOUNTS WHO ARE NOT WANTED TO DM!!
I got so tired of seeing trump & musk glorified in posts from accounts I didn’t follow along with a whole bunch of other garbage & not posts from those I care about seeing so I downloaded my photos & started the deletion process on all meta
This exists on purpose to maximize engagement via outrage, and boost ad views while selling our private data. We told you not to do it every step of the damned way, Mark. We begged for controls over our experience with ways to customize it and protect ourselves but you refused with malice. Fuck you.
If Congress revoked the Communication Decency Act , declare Google, Meta, X as media companies, and regulate the communication side of their business under the Telecommunication Act 1996 the legacy media would have a level playing field!
