ah, so our ctrl plane is always multi tenant but our DP is fully atomic. so no dependency on offset commits or anything like that, the only dep is bootup/teardown style processes. so the DP is single tenant for our Dedicated.

Serverless is a payment mode IMO – usage based instead of blocks of resources (servers) you have to bin-pack and scale yourself. This magic doesn’t really work in a single-tenant, self-hosted context, as you can’t hide the servers the user runs it on.
