I was just on SSA a few weeks ago. Tried yesterday (https://Login.gov) and am being required to verify my identity in addition to 2-step authentication. Biometrics! The system stinks in addition. Took hours for it to take UD card photos. Many reboots. Finally got my face photo. It then couldn't verify!
