Why do they have to be a one-to-one? They're more granular and give the creators complete control over the feed itself. What do you think they don't have that others do?

Yeah they give creators (the individual) control over the feed. A group is a space where you have to join to share ideas and foster a community. They are totally different things. I think feeds are good, but the app still needs a group/community feature.
This sounds like something that the dgg community is well suited to organizing, so I’m sure it’ll happen (might even be in the works behind the scenes).
Dest probably won’t feel like he should move until everything is established over here tho community wise.
For some clarification X Spaces is a feature that allows a host to create a “space” that people can join to speak to each other. It’s kind of like a discord call.
So there's a few out there right now, but I'd like to get something going that can authenticate with DGG's backend, so if you have an active DGG account, your posts will go into the feed.
I opened a repo to play around with some stuff, it's a fork of the feed-generator from Bluesky.
