Having lived in Australia for 60 years where fire events are reasonably frequent, I can verify that fires will pass through and leave random buildings and trees untouched and incinerate everything else. Such is nature!

Cars catch on fire and surrounding trees or poles made of thick wood may not burn all the way and instead just be charred. Maybe the wind was blowing away from it at the time of the car fire. It’s not a conspiracy.

interesting how trees often survive fires b/c they have that inner sap to protect them. i've seen articles on trees that have survived for a couple thousand years throughout history, with fires and all sorts of calamities.
of course a car is instant fuel with its gas tank.
