What I meant was consumers’ expectations of cost are not rooted in reality. We are facing a massive crisis ahead because MA is not generating anywhere near enough energy, and their usage is off the charts.

My crazy thought is that CT should go into the energy generation biz. So rather than continue being screwed by MA, we build or buy plants & use profits to offset costs from the rest of the grid. My analysis: It does not pay to continue buying energy the way we are now, because we subsidize MA.
And of course it’s not a remote possibility that they would do that. So we’ll continue buying 25% of the output of new generators in a market that isn’t developing generation capacity at the pace of demand. My take. Have a good day.
