I try to balance it between the types of questions like: emotional, environmental, interpersonal, etc breaking things down into categories, but when in doubt leading questions are always a great way to go
Really strong theming for both the game and each card suit youβre working with. You can also bleed into other suits a bit, but extremely strong theming is the best I can give you!
I'm currently also dying from the same plague. It helps me to split them up into themes and just do a few at a time, then swap to a different theme when you feel yourself running out of steam to keep things fresh!
It wasn't for solo games, but @willjobst.bsky.social has a powerful spreadsheet technology that combines and rearranges, like, all the nouns and verbs and vibes they're going for.
Oh hell yeah. I've got one big master random generator spreadsheet that pulls in sources from dozens of places and smashes them all together. I use that for stuff *all* the time.
Stream of consciousness word lists, staring at random objects in my attic, and borrowing from other stories and changing enough to be unrecognizable. Also, asking other people what they think.
Slowly! I normally just give myself time to jot down ideas slowly and even then they're normally just one or two sentences that I have to come back to and flesh out.
