I’m not great with statistics, but I’m guessing there are some ultra rich pulling that average up. if we take the headline as a true statement, however, we are constantly surrounded by millionaires and we could, in fact, hit them with rocks.

His complaint is very common. Everyone knows folks who work very hard and should be stable but aren't. You pointing out that actually *bunches* of people are doing just fine is at best tone-deaf and at worst mean-spirited.

Homeownership is massively down and the article has nothing to do with what I was actually discussing. Read more than just the headlines.
