Shocking that Democrats would not vote for a CR that funds the government for 6 months and allows Elon Musk to make unilateral spending cuts during that time. What an amazing offer!

The only way Trump could intact tariffs without congress was to create a national emergency (fentanyl). Now with this provision he can bypass congress from now on until end of 2026
Through the absurdity of declaring 2025 as one long day with regards to the rules for Congress being able to vote for an end of the declared emergency.
The Republicans would rather redefine the duration of a day than hold a vote with 15 days.
Exactly, shut the thing down and at least no more harm can be done for a while.
The DOD needs to have cuts also, but they are getting $6 Billion increase in spending.
That's where Musk gets his $ Millions contracts.
"The plan seems to be to vote for cloture and then Thune agrees as his part of the bargain to allow a vote on basically an amendment to the bill. Probably something like Murray's bill. So you give up the 60 vote threshold. Have a vote on each version and the GOP one wins. End of story."
“Can’t they see that Elon Musk is saving the (white) world that requires poor, sick and religiously devout humans in order to create more (white) babies?!?”
"Musk is obsessed with raising the birth rate and has explicitly noted, 'the more religious, the less educated, and the poorer, the higher the birth rate.'"
It was like asking if you would like your turd 💩 firm with corn in it or a runny turd 💩 that blasts all over the bowl. Either way it’s gonna be a mess so just say No! The answer is no, so much no, all the way no, how about no!
Republicans have House, Senate, White House. So why is it up to the Democrats? Keep your Minions in line. You do not need a single Democrat. So no blame for democrats.
Like the Republicans are going to step up and do anything to stop this? Trump/Elon are going to do it either way. Let the Republicans own this all the way
They can demand but they aren’t in the majority. Shutting down the gov is never a good idea or a winning formula. For anyone. Elections have consequences. This is one of them.
The Senate Democrats must use the power of the filibuster and vote it down. The Senate Democrats must take a firm stand against Trump and the radical extremist Republicans. They must not allow harmful bills to pass. They must protect the people. Do not be afraid when you are doing what is right.
Then what? Still cause the harm they seek to avoid?
Shutting down the gov is never a good idea or a winning formula. For anyone. Elections have consequences. This is one of them.
Not so fast. If you read the articles today, this is going to be a ridiculously tough choice no matter which one they make and one Dems are not going to win. Shutting down the gov is never a good idea or a winning formula. For anyone. Elections have consequences. This is one of them.
Yes. What's happening to the US now has been planned for years. Project 2025, which was written in 2020/3, wasn't called 2025 for no reason. Trump is just the useful idiot.
Now the questions are:
Will Trump defy court orders?
And if he does, will US troops fire on US citizens

Those were real election promises!!!
"Musk is obsessed with raising the birth rate and has explicitly noted, 'the more religious, the less educated, and the poorer, the higher the birth rate.'"
It's the bizarro mindset that if white people aren't the majority... then the entire world will be destroyed.
Congratulating Democrats for doing bare minimal, obligatory, default knee jerk reaction type shit.
Musk should be deported.
Trump should be impeached already.
Fuck this shit

Well done Senate Dems!
Make sure this bill does not happen!
It's lose-lose, maybe even a red herring, but meh...
