Australia's idea to impose a fine for not voting is looking more and more appealing every day. Make it cost money to opt out of your responsibilities as a citizen, and see how fast people get to the polls.

I was a child in a Republican family in the 50s. My crazy uncle even belonged to the John Birch Society. Those times was a mix of of the KKK in both parties. My grandfather was a great guy, but the part that was hard to deal with is exactly what MAGA is now. Dems that didn't vote make me angry.
