Very true. Took me quite some time to stop the habit of a lifetime. Ended up sawing off the indicator stalk. Unfortunately the windscreen wipers don't work now, but I can love with that.

If I owned a Tesla would even consider putting a BMW badge on it to hide the shame 😂Though I have Skodas so am not much of a car snob - at least most other brands are not owned by practising fascists
That’s us, have a petrol Superb for long journeys and an EV Enyaq for shorter trips. As we now have a cheap overnight tariff we tend to use the EV much more (at 2p / mile would be mad not to) - have not had to visit a fuel station since the end of November while our electricity bills are also lower
Had not even factored that in, so another EV bonus - though if your wife decides that topping up the EV at Tebay is essential to make it home (narrators note - it wasn’t) then all the savings are lost in the farm shop 😱
It's feasible. I read that battery degradation is 1% a year if looked after (active cooling, limited fast charging, 80% charge etc). Still a chunk of money to come up with.
Atypical levels of awareness though. Not sure if most BMW drivers know there are such a thing as indicator stalks - it’s obviously not too late for you to go back 😂
Similar to my wife (more than once) seeming to think that dash cluster warning lights are purely decorative, and not worthy of attention. Anyhow, BMW drivers spend most of their time playing with the steering wheel paddle shifts, so there's no time for any other controls.

Servicing costs for electric cars are tiny, but repair costs can be large
EV batteries seem to be lasting well over 10 years so depreciation may be less for EV cars
