So much respect for Fannie Lou Hamer who today wins a posthumous Medal of Freedom. As she unforgettably once said, “Sometimes it seems today that to tell the truth is to risk getting killed. But if I fall, I fall 5 feet 4 inches forward in the fight for freedom. I’m not backing down.”
