There is a new 20th Anniversary Edition of Black Ice set to release Feb. 4th. The entire book has been edited and updated throughout along with about almost 100 new pages which completes the story of the 1920s taking the story all the way into 1950s.

Hockey was life for me from 4-18 and I’ve read plenty on its history (articles, books, oral histories, whatever) but this just literally blew my mind. Will probably read the book ASAP but wish there was more on these guys

There might be! I only know about this book because a dude in the comments of the tiktok video recommended it. It turns out there are a lot of books called Black Ice (including one on the first African American man in the NHL) so it took me a minute to find.
