"Turning on the water" wasted 2 billion gallons of water and did not reduce fire risk.

It's not just wildfire risk, people are going to go hiking, be ill prepared and aren't going to be found by a ranger doing their rounds. In a case like this it's not just the parents who dies, the kid dies too

For example Glacier National Park is about 2.5x times bigger than London and most of that is wilderness areas. It's fucking beautiful but the year I went two people were killed by a grizzlie
