I blame a random tweet of @jbranchaud.bsky.social (I think...) that mentioned that I don't _have_ to finish every book I start. Now that thought of "Do I want to be reading something else?" just gnaws at me whenever I'm trying to get into a story 😅
I often have a couple different types of books going at once. This gives me a chance to feel out each book without feeling like I have all my eggs in one basket.
I'm in the weird place of starting Sanderson's "Wind and Truth". I know I want to (and will) read it, but just don't have the mental stamina to tackle it now
After I finished the 3 body problem (loved them) someone recommended Fear the Sky and it started strong but I had to stop it after the first terminator fight

The other books were a bunch of little stories going on all at once
This one is much more singularly focused
I feel like I've read so many more fun books because I tossed the lukewarm ones early.
Too much spy thriller, too little sci fi
I’ll probably finish the bob books though
But it could have been half the length or shorter
