One of my cats will play fetch and respond to his name, a whistle and the phrase 'time to come in'. If he is being a dick and we tell him, 'go to your room' he skulks off to his cat tree and sits on it until we tell him otherwise. The other cat…does not respond to commands.

Cats will chase many things if you wiggle them the right way in front of them. Play with their kills, too. Probably doesn't take too long to get them to associate with knickers with chasing.
