scrivener is BELOVED!! i also love it for series fic, because it's so easy to reference everything inside the same project, if every fic in the series is under a different header in the binder

It's pretty great. Just lacks mobile and sync, (so far as I know anyway) but I've always used it on a dedicated laptop anyway so no matter. Just remember to back up your files like the old days. I don't know why I'm explaining this, just felt the urge to info dump...
