My wife is extremely sensitive to coriander. We've experimented with growing our own peruvian mint, which flourishes even in a little pot on our tiny north-facing fifth floor balcony and has much of the same flavour without triggering her "washing up liquid" reaction.

I think Nigella is good at suggesting alternatives. Fruits, veg & herbs are quite versatile to interchange in recipes. I’m allergic to lime so substitute for lemon - simples. Swap strawberries which I do like, for raspberries which I love. Herbs I either leave out or use another instead. Be creative
