That's glorious. I assume "vegetable forward" means veg focused, but would this be a good book for a vegetarian? Or is it lots of veg recipes with beef stock? 😅

Arguably this cover is more beautiful.

I got this wonderful book a few days ago from my beloved as a 9th anniversary gift.

Just baked Damp Lemon & Almond Cake and you do mention how violently different ovens are - this was overcooked after 50 mins. Are the oven temps suitable for fan ovens?

OOOH! That’s just reminded me of a veggie recipe I used to make years ago. In my book (I thiiink it was Vegetarian Dishes of the Middle East🤔), it was called Kapushka.. Cabbage, butter, tomatoes, lemon and dill.. DELICIOUS!
