I mean, EP does try to give its trans lead some complexity and depth. It, like, at least tries to write her as a three-dimensional human with both good and bad traits.
True. Music, meanwhile, was not so much a character as she was a prop for the neurotypical characters' growth, specifically that of Zu, and that to me is one of the worst portrayals of a disabled person, autistic or otherwise: when they're a plot device more than an actual character.
