That is the new baseline? WTAF? No. THAT is NOT where I set MY standards of gratitude. I worked harder, persevered longer, saved more, performed better for THAT to be my baseline.
To be clear I AM GRATEFUL I have provided those things for myself- but, I REFUSE to allow myself to be “satisfied” with telling myself “it could be worse”. It already is! I don’t have my mental or physical health like I did a month ago. I’m losing. I’m NOT “grateful”. I’m flipping PISSED!
Great Page! Thank you! Here is a payback—my 3rd 5* book. FREE. Valuable tips on enjoying sanity during the immense shit-storm in progress on Earth. Why free? Because you/we are more important than the money. Please keep up the good work! https://www.fearlesspuppy.info/newbook Love from Kathmandu, Tenzin
Been there done that at 17 for a couple years, not my choice. At 70 though I wouldn’t survive it without social security and hud low income senior housing. So, excuse us who are worried sick with nowhere to go if things get worse
Things ARE going to be worse. A LOT worse you tone deaf fool…Trump & Musk both said we’re going to “hurt a little bit”. Openly said it. This post of things could be worse almost smacks as obeying in advance. Do something. Rile your fellow Americans up. Protest somewhere. Do something!!
Very true. And we choose to in our gratitude, but my cynicism is saying that it will be a very short time before fewer and fewer people will be able to answer in the affirmative.
I do. And it can. Never think it can not happen to you. I know a multi-millionaire who lost it all in the mortgage crisis recession. He didn't even know how to find or where to go for food giveaways or other assistance. I'm happy he found a way to make it back.
Thanks for the reminder, Julius. Being grateful is so important.
I’m always thankful for the simple things, like our warm comfy bed.
Millions in this world don’t even have a blanket.
(I give old bedding to the homeless shelter, but also know it’s only a tiny bit of help. 😞)
I have a community center I pass by often that serves the homeless community.
It's always mobbed, and the lines in the afternoon for shelter placement just breaks my heart.
When I started forgetting how blessed I actually am is when I knew it was time to take a break and refocus. This is always an excellent reminder. Thank you Julius!

But will never forget having to sleep outside
But that doesn’t help people losing their jobs & their rights

I am very blessed in comparison. G’night, sir.
It goes a long way.

Your post made think about the search for truth.
