I specifically work in the public sector because I'm working to benefit society, not just make more money for some rich shareholders. Privatization does NOT motivate employees, but rather the opposite. I call BS.

"Increasing share ownership" is laughable. Proportion of shares held by UK individuals has plummeted since 1979.

Main reason for privatisation is so that rent-seekers can receive undeserved rents.

Did an extremely tone deaf leadership course where they talked about innovation and presented P3s as such. Their examples of successful P3s were 407ETR (very bad Toronto example) and Thames Water. Everyone in the room looked at me when I very loudly said “what the fuck?!” and laughed heartily.
