I used to be Panville all the way but I fear I’ve turned Hansy. Harry can meet Pansy toe to toe. That girl needs someone to tell her no every once in a while.
Ok being for real. I do enjoy reading Hansy more. I can tell the writers have more fun with their dynamic. Hansy tends to be more angsty which I love.
But, I would pick Panville bc I'm more confident that it will be written by a woman. I'm sorry. Hansy kinda tends to fall into the Lord Potter realm.
HANSY ALL THE WAY! (but you know this)
Neville's too nice/down-to-earth for Pansy. I think she'd get bored/frustrated with him after a while.
She needs a hot-headed idiot like Harry who can be sweet, but will also have passionate shouting matches with her and even more passionate makeup sex after.
I agree! I love Neville and I also think that after the war he was probably a lot more confident and had potential to be quite funny and charming, and maybe even a little cheeky, but still in a really 'nice dude', down-to-earth kinda way that I just don't see for Pansy. I feel he has the potential -
I think Pansy and Neville work excellent together beyond the fact that she has a flower name and he loves plants. For me, it's about gow their personalities (as I imagine them) contrast so well. It's softness with spice, water with eart ( and fire), nature
Hahaha okay enough
I feel like I could write an essay on Pansy and Neville dynamics and how they both somehow embody 'inevitably' and 'choice' in a relationship. They are the red string theory and right person wrong timing to eventually finding each other at the end.
They are complimentary colors! Opposite each other, but somehow, when paired together, IT CLICKS! I know it's a lot, but ultimately, they make each other better. Pansy helps Neville come in term with his humaness. He can feel anger and be selfish with his wants because he, too can have faults!
But that doesn't diminish his values. Because at his core, Nev is forgiving, kind, and nurturing but not to a fault. Neville helps Pansy feel hope and pure love. In contrast to how she was conditioned growing up. Because to him, Pansy's delicateness is not a weakness or a flaw or just not like Pansy
I know I vomited a lot of words here 😳 but it's there before I realized I've been rattling on and on. I just love them together. Also, Hansy, idk? But if you're gonna ship Harry with another slytherin, my mind immediately goes to draco! (drarry agenda believer 🙂↕️) also harry is shippable w anyone 😳
I lean panville over hansy for no good reason other than I’ve read more panville and have liked it. But if you whispered “hansville” in my ear I would nod vigorously
Hansy because I prefer catty characters, which I don't think Neville is but Harry and Pansy very much are. I just like seeing them be sassy and cutting to each other
1) Canonically Pansy is the most associated character with Draco, heavily implied to be dating him, and Draco is obsessed with Harry. 2) Pansy trying to give up Harry to Voldemort.
To me as a writer these are interesting sources of narrative tension.
i get it, but almost none of the situations where there’s some form of confrontation between harry and draco take place in the great hall, right? i’m specifically trying to understand the great hall reference haha
as english is not my first language, i’m just realizing that i read it as some kind of title, like ‘draco and the great hall situations’ but it’s probably two separate things hahaha

I'm just curious and bored.

Also I'm re-reading Bound by Desire by @darkcloud190.bsky.social and all I can see is Brat Pansy/Dom Harry, I am sorry. 😂😂
