Honestly Drastoria - her not really knowing much about him other than the basics and Draco wanting to be the good husband she needs. Using his money and connections to try to help her curse - wanting to make sure she is happy and cared for. Astoria loving the man he becomes not the man he was.
Dreo. I see them as being each other's lights in the darkness of their teenage years, but they couldn't date until their fathers were put in Azkaban. When they finally get together, they give each other all the kindness and gentleness they'd never had before, and it's so healing.
I usually go with Theo, something about them growing up in very similar tumultuous childhoods and only being able to turn to each other for comfort warms my cold dead heart

I love the idea of her goodness & her patience being a motivator for him to work through his grief after the war. I see them as both heavily devoted to the other, pushing the other (gently) to escape the mold their pureblood upbringing suggests they must stay in. And then obviously Scorp 🥹

I think if not Hermione, Ginny is the only other person who can get on Draco's level. The difference for me is this Draco and Hermione stimulate each other's minds. They get along on an intellectual level, later this translates into physical.
They both grew up without siblings & are comfortable being alone, so even together, they remain individual, and later make a family that's just /theirs/.
Draco and Ginny are quite on the same level physically. They are both Quidditch players and (as portrayed in fanon) are sexually active. But Ginny grew up with brothers and has a huge family. This different family dynamic is what Ginny brings to Draco, bc he grew up isolated.
Ntm removing Muggle/Magical political dynamics, Hermione is in a higher socioeconomic class than Ginny. Dramione and Drinny both have a sense of starcrossed lovers-ness, however it manifests in different ways.
What changes in the pairing dynamic is the source of tension. Dramione is often Pureblood sensibilities vs Muggle "newness", with Drinny it's upper class vs lower class, etc.
