The books I've got include Betty Edwards "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain," "Masterful Color: Vibrant Colored Pencil Paintings Layer by Layer" and "Morpho simplified forms"
So the biggest things I think that made a difference for me was lots of light layers with colored pencil, taking more time and looking at proportions for drawing and thinking of the body as connected shapes
Anyway I did this as a sort of fuck you to AI. I have spent half an hour give or take every day since last June trying to practice and improve and in like two months it'll have been a year and this is the progress I've made.
I remember the first tentative steps you took, starting out drawing, (heh, I even remember recommending the hash tag you use!). The distance you've come is phenomenal, and I loved seeing this journey. It might not mean a whole lot, but I'm proud of you and where you've got to!
