IMO, AI will absolutely take people’s jobs, especially developers (and especially the devs not using AI).

Maybe not yours (yet) but many, many others.

Depend's how you define "take jobs" in the context of developers, my point is "replace", in tech we are using it for sure but we only make up 2/3% of the workforce...

...if we don't encourage other to learn to code then future AI will not learn to improve and the world will be full of MVP garbage, it's more important now than ever to actively encourage others to learn to code.... IMO :)

I just can’t see how that doesn’t happen. AI tools are already many factors of magnitude faster than most devs. With instant context of whole codebases and documentation.

It’s not perfect, but it’s still early days.

Wouldn't disagree but those code bases will mostly end up as MVP's without human intervention by those who understand the code and how to adapt it to improve it or add new features, I hope I'm making sense, I'm not disagreeing, I'm just looking at it from a different perspective I guess
