post #brexit there is no difference between EU and non-EU migrants. they're all migrants now. this is just interesting to see that the migrants from the EU are steadily leaving the UK. the total level of migration has shot up. and before "starmer!!!" the bulk of it happened under the tories.

Hmmm I dunno. Maybe being part of a massive economic block of countries allowed us greater security than being a stand-alone island ruled by greedy arseholes and influenced by charlatans for the last 14 years made a difference?

UK birthrate is massively under replacement now, and so we're going to need more and more migrants. given that we appear to have alienated EU citizens, those migrants are going to have to come from "somewhere else". it'll get sufficiently desperate that those migrants will hold the whip.

definitely not a millennial, but but we chose not to have kids because it was easy enough to see where things were going. turns out, we were pretty much 100% correct. so, yes, understand your concerns, and the difficulty in making decisions like that.

Same here, though I am an early millennial (Xennial, maybe). We thought about kids a lot. Months of discussions, financial spreadsheets etc… and came to the conclusion that that’s not how to live your life.

So.... anyway.... +300k (diff EU/others) would have been the influx into the health care sector? That is the reason (UK needed this - although not enough to hold NHS over water), right?
