There is no reason to assume a linear relation between EF and outcome, basically EF is a failure as functional and prognostic measure when EDV is reduced, which means half the patients.
Very interesting. How are you using this clinically? I'm not familiar with the use of the measurement and I'm curious what type of prognosis this is used for.
But basically, prognosis is more academic than clinical, I think. It's about the diagnostic validity of different measures. Clinical work is far less about prognostication than treatment decision in my opinion.
