I agree Fernand that the issue here seems to be that what has been lost is any sense of balance between the options that politics needs to propose. Here, there is even no acknowledgement of the ethical issues by Starmer. Cont.

As with much else, he disposes of the moral compass. He will be unlamented as a leader even by his followers. He tends to congratulate himself too soon before the consequence of his action is clear.
