Haven't watched the video yet but that golden ratio trick is nice. I've used it to hash ints & pointers for hash tables: multiply by 11400714819323198549 (a prime close to the binary expansion of phi-1) then reverse the byte order.

Hehe I also love uniformness of blue noise. Used it a couple of times to remove banding artifacts in gradients.

If you haven't seen it before, you should give spatiotemporal blue noise a look. It's a flip book of blue noise textures where each pixel is also blue over time, which improves rendering under TAA or monte carlo integration.
