I'm right there with you. I'm not buying anything today except for maybe a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop.
Let's hope a lot of people do this so we can have a big impact.
I'm going to do this weekly. Anyone can do this. Soon at the rate the government is cutting so many safety nets we'll be in forced boycotts,we just won't be able to afford many things. I might be eating beans and rice in the short future.
Our household has a purchasing embargo for non-essential goods/services and a complete red state purchasing embargo until Musk/Trump r out. Republican electeds will only respond to their own financial interests.
We keep befriending other ppl new to Denver. 1 woman worked 4 an Amazon fulfillment center in Wisconsin & now she works 4 one in a nearby Denver suburb. She says it’s an especially bad work environment in Denver. Basically, seems like her WI Amazon workplace was an outlier. She works 2 jobs here.
So as an Amazon worker in WI, Sara* thought Amazon was a good company & was super pro-Amazon and now she’s living the experience of horrible Amazon work conditions. I need to remember to ask her about unsold goods going straight to the garbage, the whole #RetailMadeMeDoIT waste situation.

I understand the assignment.
A one day boycott won’t affect them much at all if we spend large the day before or after.
We need to completely change our spending habits.
Did he jump on the bandwagon or was somebody afraid folks wouldn’t join in if they knew he was behind it?
I’m betting the former. I’m cynical that way.
Still it’s Black History Month. Welcome to Al Sharpton’s Boycott Friday!
