Theology isn’t usually part of the job description for America’s vice president, but that’s not stopping JD Vance from giving it a try just a couple of weeks into his new position. https://voxdotcom.visitlink.me/OAbTeS

Ya'll don't realize that you are currently taking L's of historic proportions - both in number and severity - which it will take a decade or more to recover from. And Bluesky whinging won't help you. Nothing happening here dents the national conversation.
Obviously Vance should have read a couple of pages of the Augustine Sparknotes instead of just cribbing half a quote from Wikiquotes... or maybe he's just s selective reader.
Vance says this all while encouraging the deportation of his neighbors from the only communities they've ever known. 🙄 The hypocrisy and corruption with this administration is so thick you couldn't cut it with a knife.
@vox.com I will literally give you money monthly if you all start throwing these punches. Take up the journalistic mantle of integrity and hold the powerful to account.
When Trump was looking for a VP the only criteria I think he followed was 1)how much of a "donation" the candidate would make to his war chest, and 2)that he wouldn't be a threat to Trump. Vance is wealthy, but more importantly he is such a completely forgettable mediocrity he poses no threat.
I can spell JD Vance's theology with just a few sentences. He's an atheist. He would not be electable in most states as an atheist; therefore, he adopted Catholicism to advance his political ambitions. He has no theology; he also doesn't have a moral compass.
I know. The Pharisees weren't fans of Jesus because he challenged their authority and greed and called them out for ignoring their own rules for interpreting the law.
He's using shorthand, I'll spell it out. You have no idea what you are talking about re: who the Pharisees are because you think the only source for information on them is the one that makes it a point of distorting who they were.
Bible first eh JD. Leviticus and Deuteromity are favs. Leviticus 20:10 is a good start. Paraphrasing: every adulterer must get stoned (rocks not buds).
Posting this for more in depth conversation FROM a Christian perspective.... ( hint, JDV is waaaay off base) https://youtu.be/902BhBX6I8E?t=1472 "ordo amoris"
Here's a better idea J.D. Vance!
How about ALL religions in America, stay the hell out of public policy and honor the separation of church and state! Why is that such a problem Vance? Because every organized religion, wants to dominate and believe they're "God's chosen people," and entitled!
