Almost done writing my first novel and I want to explore traditional publishing but feeling overwhelmed. Anyone have any suggestions or tips on where to start?

Well done with your novel! Traditional publishing often depends on getting an agent as many publishers (but not all) will only look at submissions from an agent. You will need an appealing pitch letter, a coherent synopsis, but most of all your manuscript needs to be as polished as you can make it.
Keep in mind that getting a book published is like finding a job. It requires a lot of work and patience on your part, and it's definitely not a speedy process. But hang in there!
It depends on if you want a literary agent or want to try a small press, which usually accept unagented submissions. I sent over 200 queries before my book was picked up. I'm querying book two, and so far up to 113 queries. I'd be happy to talk more if you want!
