Just watched War of the Rohirrim. Pretty good movie, I had a nice time! I think it suffers a bit from a lack of development: I'd have liked to see designs that felt 183 older than LotR, for one. But it has some well earned spectacle and one of the better uses of the Eagles IMO.

On the lack of development for example, they carefully recreated Edoras in 3D, only to burn it down. There should have been a different design that gets replaced by the one we know from LotR
Some of the character decisions and military manoeuvres also felt wrong and badly thought through
