The only weak point: NATO seems to be a dead alliance after Trump’s claims to Greenland and Canada.
Basically, Ukraine will have to defend itself, similar to Israel
It is just a matter of political will, and Russia is providing ample motivation for that political will.
Russia remains the best and only recruiter NATO has ever had.
NATO is likely to break up otherwise. We’re seeing those fissures already. They’re currently not as big due to the US
I am saying the rest of NATO would still be viable without the US.
It is no longer 1949. Europe has recovered from the war started by the Russian-German alliance of 1939 (i.e. WWII).
Pity. I might shed a tear.
Italy elected a right-wing government which is now pro-NATO and anti-Russia.
Self-defense instincts are strong, even in Europe.
The Western strategy from the outset should have been to have Putin swinging from a lamppost no later than 25th February 2022.
Anything less represented an open invitation.
They have royally squibbed it.
Begin at all #Russian troops withdrawn to 1991 borders and all assaults stopped.
Then bring #Putin or his successor to the table to negotiate reparations.
There is no other way to end Putin’s war or ensure European safety.
Putin on his knees to Lil' Kim tells us a great deal about the conditions in Russia, and none of it is good.
So there are many options even in case USA turn hostile on whole EU :) imho
