Even after deleting images and videos and killing the account, our data is still going to Facebook if we’re using the full features of our smart phones somehow, right? I haven’t left because I’ve got people I’ll never hear from again on there

One can vastly reduce participation that will affect his pocketbook. But continuing to participate with as much enthusiasm as we did in 2004 (until he ruined the platform) is something we can control. Check in with friends, but no need to be there as intensely as before.
Here’s the way I fought back on Facebook. No purchases. Unlike everything. Hide every ad. Unfollow everything. It cleaned my timeline to just my friends.
Exactly. It's not all or nothing. We can be conscious of what we do, have a minimalist plan. When I die, I am not taking this digital stuff with me. It's not that important in terms of memories. The sentiment of my life is not determined by whether Suck-a-Booger reminds me of my life events.
It's not very zen or living in the moment to have him reminding me of my life. He is no longer pricey to it. I don't need to share my family photo album publicly anymore or brag about my dinner or whatever.
Facebook keeps that data on their servers. Your print lives on the internet forever. As someone said, if you delete- it makes it even easier to find you first. As of now, we have freedom to speak. They will increasingly make this more difficult.
Meta starts making shadow profiles of everyone they can find. If an acquaintance has you in their address book when they sync to Facebook or Instagram, Meta begins to try to know you. If you pop up in the Metaverse with that contract info it will link you to the shadow profile. /1
If you divorce from Facebook, they will maintain a shadow profile and gleen as much as they can from your social network. If one of them mentions you somewhere, you can bet Meta adds to the shadow profile. /2
So if you get a new email address or phone number, added to your card in a friend's phone and synced to Facebook, Meta now has your new contact info. 3/3
You do know that as long as you have a phone on you, as well as any technology they can track your location. And the same goes for your car. To get away from Big Brother is getting harder and harder
Well, not only will your car report where you are but many bridges have license plate readers. So even if you have an old car they can track you. I understand is only used when looking for a specific plate. Goodness only knows what they will use the information for in the future
Well, a quick google search confirms that Hawaii uses license plate readers. But you’re right, if you don’t drive much they’re less likely to see you. Gotta love mass transit! We don’t have that where I live in MA, so when I go anywhere it’s got to be by car

There's nothing they don't "know" about us.
I've also installed Privacy Badger. Look it up.
