What counts as 'created'? If someone has AI write a story and then adds a few pages to it that they wrote themselves, is that ai-generated or created by a human? Where's the line?

It is very clearly spelled out if you read the report. Only the pages they add themselves would be copyrightable. Not the parts generated by the AI.

I remember a copyright lawyer explaining that copyright is generally seen as a way of Incentivizing creative endeavors. AI art does the opposite. Also, AI cannot innovate to new artistic styles. AI couldn't invent cubism.

Important step. But the line between AI as a tool and AI as a creator is getting blurry. When human intent is traceable in AI outputs, shouldn’t that creative input count? Copyright law must evolve with creation itself.
