The majority of Americans for quite some time have been deeply unhappy working so hard for so little. If we continue to be seen as aligned with status quo corporate capitalism we will continue to lose.

But even when we aren’t truly aligned with corporate capitalism—when Dems propose more regulations to protect the people, higher wages, expansions of the ACA & Medicare/Medicaid so people can get better, cheaper healthcare and drugs, 50% of Americans still vote for the billionaires who don’t care.
Well they are going to get radical change under Trump alright, just in the wrong direction. I hope the people who voted for Trump are ok with going to bed hungry, being cut from healthcare, & being denied overtime pay, because that’s what they signed up for.
Totally agree. I doubt he will satisfy them at all but I bet they’ll keep voting for him anyway as long as they think we’re on the side of the corporate elites.
If you have ideas for convincing folk that rich GOP billionaires don’t care about them (& are the true elites) & that Dems care & are proposing laws that will help them in their daily lives, please share them with the DNC! My sense? Hatred of “elites” is really jealously of the better educated.
The problem is that people are gullible enough to vote for an enemy because they claim to be a friend. People were frustrated that not enough was being done to improve conditions for us all, but voted with the person who would make it worse.
