I wrote that I categorically object to any of my data being used for training AI on the basis that I hold the sole copyright on all of it and gen AI having been shown to indiscriminately reproduce copyrighted material in a manner that would be clear plagiarism if done by a human.

Can't access the form in the US and I haven't received the notification, which leads me to think it's the other way around - if you live somewhere with sufficient privacy laws, you get the form. Otherwise, they're not even gonna pretend. Maybe they found a loophole in Canada's law.

It's possible. Canada also has radically different privacy laws than the US does, and this is often reflected in different social media policies and TOS.
