Everything is and has always been "message free" when you are immune to seeing the message. At least she picked a still from the movie that undermines her point, thereby saving us the effort.
And we used to be able to indulge in fantasies of punching Nazis without being confronted with actual physical Nazis (and as a result, the ethical and practical questions around whether punching Nazis is or is not universally a Good Thing).
And it’s fine to punch the comic book Nazis, because they’re pantomime villains [“Boo! Hiss!”] and there’s no need to reckon with their essential humanity, or with how much we have in common with them.
Which is *great*, in escapist fantasy and fairytales.
