meh honestly playing around with it just now I'm not even sure I like it. compared to WM's it's slow, the tiling is still much to be desired with convoluted keybinds to snap things. Plus it's ALL mouse dependent. you can configure it with keybinds but there's so damn many. I'm going back to my WM. - ThreadSky

BUT they have managed to figure out a way to circumvent waylands whole "keybinds on only focused apps please!" i.e. you can use push to talk on discord without having to be focused on discord. that alone kinda makes me want to tinker with the thing today and sort out keybinds.

I'm probably one of three people who don't use discord lol. I understand why that's beneficial, but not a real use case for me having keybonds work on inactive windows.

for some stuff it's good to have universal keybinds for apps. discord is one example, or screen capturing/recording stuff on your screen. i.e. you don't need to have OBS open on your screen to start recording.

All mouse! Hard pass. I believe KDE is one of the more bloated DEs too isn't it? O think I landed on sway for my WM so I can have the "same" config for all PCs. I3 on mint and sway on arch.

it is. half a gig download and that's ONLY installing the plasma-meta package which actually is supposed to cut down on the bloat/stuff you don't need.

Yeah before going to WMs I started working with XFCE. Didn't get too deep though. Got choice paralysis when looking at themes. Fixed the clock not showing on waybar before I had to wake up my daughter for cheer though. Locale wasn't working right.
