I love the car, I just hope later when work needs doing it's not going to be more expensive. I've found motorway charging hit and miss a bit. But good to have a coffee and a chill waiting for it charge when travelling.

Of course you never know, but in general, they have way less moving parts and are pretty robust. I agree that charging sometimes it’s a little challenge, but especially talking to a fellow e-mobilists is definitely a bonus.

Sadly this is what is stopping a lot of people in Australia from going electric. Most cities have some charging infrastructure but because of the vast distances we have to travel across the country it is almost impossible on the short klm range electric vehicles have.

My EV has over 600 km range. Can do Brisbane to Port Macquarie on one charge. Also charges 20-80% in 12 minutes. Barely enough for a rest stop coffee. EV’s in a couple years will have 1500 km range. On a Brisbane to Wollongong Canberra return trip it cost me $140 in charging

Same here in New Zealand. If there is a charging station outside the city, then this is next to the highway in the middle of nowhere, not places you want to stop.

I have been driving self charging hybrids for the last 4 years, which suits NZ infrastructure, most likely also AU.

I think hybrid is the way forward for Aus but it will be a while before I buy one. Like electric they can’t tow a caravan so until then we will keep the cars we have.

I'm on what what I believe is best night tariff of 6.9p kWh. Last month my car averaged 4.24 miles/kWh, which gives 2.24p per mile. In the summer I'd hope to get better!
