Thanks o/ I wanted to draw him in the armor because it is described and he canonically wears it and I am all about that.. But also while reading I felt like...Damn...This guy is actually so weak that maybe he should take a layer off... poor slug is dragging. Lets unburden him for practical reasons.

his build is one of the reasons i enjoy drawing him without an armor very much, its a core part of the character to be built like a stick bug and it's very alluring to draw especially when stylized imo. drawing him naked is the easy way into that, emphasizing his build with armor/clothes is harder

i'm always shackled by practicality, it's something i cling onto even when drawing fantasy bs and for this reason i wouldn't draw him with ill-fitted armor - he's as rich and powerful as one can be, his armor would fit him perfectly if we follow logic, it's made for him. that being said...

LOTS of room to play around in. did a cartoony take on his look in the dreaming city myself a few weeks ago (pardon the photo, i don't have a good scan yet) where i dicked around with caricatural proportions to show it instead.
