Now that I know that relocation would be voluntary and there are many Gazans who are desperate to leave, I'm in favor of this plan. The hard part is finding a country or countries willing to take them in.

Call Me Back emergency podcast this week made a good point, that since 2022 6M Ukrainian refugees have been taken in by neighboring countries during the war with Russia, meanwhile 2M Gazans are expected to just stay put in a war zone and cannot go anywhere.
And the only approach that's ever allowed to be spoken is that they're stuck there until there is a Palestinian state, and it's Israel's job to give them that state at the expense of its own security, and the rest of the world can just send money in via UNRWA so nothing changes.
But that still doesn't answer the question of where they would go, since Egypt and Jordan are none too keen based on history. One thing they floated (which made me laugh a bit bc of their cozy relationship with Hamas leadership) was opening up the world cup housing in Qatar.
Yes, that's the hard part. I don't think it needs to be only one country, and I don't think it necessarily needs to be in the Middle East. Of course, learning another language might be hard, but not as hard as living in rubble among terrorists.
