tldr my situation: i'm a wheelchair user, and i use remote classes to fill out my courseload (of 7 per year) so i can drag my disabled body to campus less. administration has been canceling my remote classes and demanding i teach in person. when i brought them a doctor's note saying i physically 3/

can't do that, they reduced my pay! now i'm struggling to pay bills. legal orgs that consult n disability and employment have advised me that it's usually easier to find a new job than to try and fight your employer legally on these things. so that's what i'm doing. i hate job hunting, the end

It is infuriating that there are laws in place to prevent this, and yet they are rarely enforced. Even if they were, most universities have extremely deep pockets when it comes to lawsuits. I sympathize and I'm sorry you're going through this. Good luck with the job hunt!
