I like the one where aliens kidnap Picard and replace him with an imposter, and at one point the imposter (posing as Picard, a very French man) gets the crew to sing the anthem of the (British) Royal Navy in its entirety to win their trust.
To be fair, they had already established that French didn't even exist anymore as a language. (Because they wanted the viewers to know the future was a utopia.)

It addresses a lot of the same issues as the original novel
