Good luck. It's much needed since Once A Metro was shut down, and it's a shame the local papers don't cover RBNY and NYCFC more. I've tried as much as I can on @nysoccertimes.com but there's no money in it so there's a limit to how much you can do.

Yeah I get it and I appreciate any coverage from any source. The local papers are obviously spread thin and have bigger priorities. That's why I just want to give someone like $5 per month to do a substack or something.

I actually imported the whole site to substack, manually changed a load of author names, but abandoned the idea a day later haha. There's a period where it's making no money, but you need to do full time coverage for it to work, that I can't afford to do. Still hoping to do more on it in 25 though.

It's the "paid" part that's really tough. in '17, while in between jobs, I launched a patreon under the "Seeing Red Daily" banner. Had a great yr, earned $20k from subscribers (which was amazing!) but obv not enough to keep it going.

Digitally-engaged RBNY aud is small, frankly. Maybe diff today?

Do you have a good 'list' of the local people you follow for specific clubs/regions? I follow Greder and Marthaler for the Loons, but it's easy for substacks/blogs to slip under the radar, especially for USL stuff, which I'm just getting into. An archive of peeps of some sort would be helpful.
