The biggest thing that I felt the Sounders were missing last year was a second and third heat. Without Rusnak, Morris didn't have a provider, without Morris, Rusnak didn't have a scoring threat. Right now, the Sounders have those we just need to put the right pieces together.

Morris is an unselfish player. That was my biggest gripe with him. Morris isn't the shot taker that Ruidiaz. Morris converted ~19% of his shots and 39% of his SOT in 2024 (69 shots). Messi converted ~24% of his shots and 46% of his SOT in 2024 (84 shots).

Morris's conversion rates are not bad even when compared to Messi. He needed another player to take the attention from him and another provider (Ferreira and Paul Arriola) to get his number of shots up.
