Here's the answer to our Where have we been

We were at the North Tower at Pevensey Castle.

This very fine and fancy tower with it's garderobes (toilet's) was built c.1250. It unfortunately had a little disaster by 1317, whereby the towers roof fell, taking with it the floor boards and vault!
