Oh, I get it. Citations are the norm in legal writing too, even if everyone who will read it already knows the authority. Miranda vs. Arizona, Terry vs. Ohio, etc.
Trolling is lazy. I, for one, think we owe it to followers and passers by to show why we are making a claim. Yes, we can always Google a source but what about conflicting sources? To me, that's the more interesting piece here. What did the author see that brought him/her/they to the conclusion?
This is a social media platform, not a research institution. I fact check everything I see so I’m not misinformed. If you “genuinely” wanted to learn more, you would have done your own research instead of asking for a source.
I have high expectations of myself. I don’t expect anything from anyone. Nobody owes anyone anything. That’s why I do my own research instead of asking for a source.
"Mazikeen" has such high expectations of herself that her bio says she's "Enjoying hell on earth."
Meanwhile, my champion is Opus, one of GOAT characters of all-time. I'll go with the bowtie. FWIW, I'm not dazed but am certainly confused by the troll.
It’s not a criticism. It’s questioning. It’s always a surprise to me when supposedly highly educated, intelligent people ask the most basic questions when there is such an easy way to verify information.

One thing you learn over and over again as a Ph.D. is to cite your sources.
It doesn’t really matter that I can find “something” related to this.
What matters here is the intent of the original poster and what information it was based upon.
I just wanted to learn more.

Happily, moving on.
